Jalandhar, August 18, 2018: Manoranjan Kalia, Former Minister Punjab said when the Central Government has declared 7 days mourning on the sad demise of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Former Prime Minister of India and the whole country is in grief, it does not behove good on the part of Navjot Singh Sidhu, the Local Government Minister, Punjab to go to Pakistan in order to participate in the celebrations of oath taking ceremony of Imran Khan Former Cricketer now Prime Minister of Pakistan.
In a statement here today, Kalia said when Navjot Singh Sidhu was in Bharatiya Janata Party, he used to say, "Atalji is a father figure for him" and used to address Atalji as "Political Guru", but he has forgotten everything. The most saddest part of Sidhu is the embracing with the Chief of Pakistan Army, Javed Bajwa who is responsible for violating the cease-fire almost on daily basis at Kashmir Border thereby martyring our Army men and spreading terrorism in Jammu & Kashmir and other parts of the Country. It is pertinent to note that invitation was also extended to veteran Cricketers Sunil Gawaskar and Kapil Dev but they refused to go as they preferred National interest to friendship.
Kalia further said that the said behavior of Sidhu is most condemnable. If Sidhu is so much curious towards Pakistan, he should remain there and ask his Cricketer friend- Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan to induct him in his Ministry, remarked Kalia.
