Lohri celebrations take place at Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus, Jalandhar on Tuesday.
Jalandhar, January 13, 2015: Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus celebrated Lohri festival in the campus today. A bonfire was lit and the celebrations began by throwing sweets, peanuts, puffed rice, and popcorn into the flames. The students also sang traditional folk lores associated with the festival. Director Dr. Rajesh Bagga, teachers and students offered prayers and chanted hymns. Sweets and dry fruits were were distributed among every one present on the occasion. The students also enthralled everyone by performing spectacular folk dances.
Director Dr. Rajesh Bagga wished everyone happy Lohri and expressed that the students, being future of the nation, are harbingers of hope, so they have to strive for peace and prosperity around the world.
