LGC Organized Mr & Ms. Ludhiana, A walk for a cause

Ludhiana, March 23, 2016: Ludhiana Group of Colleges organized Mr.and Ms.Ludhiana Contest “A walk for a cause, Dyslexia” for all the youngsters of Ludhiana. After first round of preliminary selection 50 candidates where on the stage for three final rounds, first was fusion round 2nd round was ethnic round followed by question answer round.
The event was judged by eminent personalities from the fashion and glamour industry Ms.Sonu Gandhi a well known “Fashion Diva of Punjab” and Ms. Geeta Nagrath, Director International Institute of Fashion Technology Ludhiana and Gen. Sec. International Institute of Glamour and Lifestyle. During the function all the guests and students were made aware about the Dislexia and how to cure this just with a slight vigilant approach and with this approach all those students suffering from dyslexia can excel in their respective fields.
Mr. Sahil Kakkar from G.G.N Khalsa College Ludhiana was declared Mr. Ludhiana and Ms. Ragini Lunawat was crowned Ms. Ludhiana. Varun Takkar from G.G.N Khalsa College Ludhiana was adjudged First runner-up while Saif Ali Khan was Second runner-up in Boys. Ms. Romanpreet Kaur from GHG Institute of Law was announced First runner-up and Harneet Kaur from G.N.E Ludhiana Second runner-up in girls.
The contestants were guided by experts from the different verticals of the glamour industry. Ms. Geeta Nagrath and Ms. Sonu Gandhi shared their valuable experience, skills and knowledge with all the participants and audience. They confessed that the competition was very tough students were very talented. Both the judges were mesmerized with the performance of students and congratulated college administration and management for the social responsibility college is performing towards society and bring rich talent under one roof.
On this occasion eminent dignitaries present was S. Surinderpal Singh (Vice- Chairman), Mr.Rajiv Gulati, Mr.Subhas Grover, Mr.Vikram Grover and Mr. Shiv Kumar Arya Congratulated college administration Dr.J.K Chawla(Director), Dr.Jaskiran Kaur(Principal,Management) Dr.A.K.Singh (Vice-Principal) for such a great initiative and providing a rich platform to Ludhiana.
The event ended with splendid performance of Giddha & Bhangra of host college students.
