KMV organises Start-up 2016

Jalandhar: Department of Journalism & Mass Communication of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar on Thursday organised Start-up 2016 with the aim to enhance event management skills amongst the students of Journalism. This event was organized under UGC Kaushal Kendra Scheme, in which students from all classes of B.A. (JMC) and B.Voc (Photography and Journalism) participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Under this start-up programme various events like- Desi Theatre, Feel like an RJ, lets’ glam, props photography and key-ring with instant photography were organized. The Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi inaugurated the programme. Then the faculty of Department of JMC extended floral felicitations to the Worthy Principal Madam. On this occasion Madam Principal said that the subject is the need of the hour. She further mentioned that events like Start-up will be helpful to the students to hone entrepreneurial skills. In Desi Theatre six movie shows were organized under which students were shown Punjabi Comedy and Hollywood Horror movies. In the events of Props Photography, Feel like an RJ and let’s glam interested students got their photographs clicked by the students of Journalism. Students also got their pictures clicked for a key ring of their choice. While extending his Gratitude towards Madam Principal, Mr. Rubal Kanozia, Head, Dept. of JMC, highlighted the aim of Start-up and explained that this event will be helpful for the students to learn managerial skills and will help them to understand how to execute any plan for the success of an event.
