LETS ELECTIONS: Amicably settlement on all seats

Ludhiana, November 23, 2012: An amicable settlement has been brought about by senior industrial leaders with regard to elections to LETS, which runs the common effluent treatment plant (CETP) for electroplating industry.

As per the information, the senior industrial leaders conducted meetings for unanimous polls with leading members of both the groups.

Accordingly, these groups reached consensus on all four posts.

The following names of the candidates of office bearers of the society have been finalised; Avtar Singh (CEO), Charanjit Singh Vishavkarma (secretary), and Manmohan Singh Ubhi and Jagatveer Singh for two posts of directors.

Further, the information said, this is a step in the direction in order to maintain peace and harmony , which is need of the hour for the growth and development of industry.

The senior industrial leaders say this “unique” effort will enable to further develop CETP on most advanced lines.

The leaders who honoured the unanimously elected elected office-bearers of LETS, include Inderjit Singh Pardhan, KK Seth, Harjit Singh Sondh, RD Sharma, Narinder Singh Bhamra, Rajnish Gupta, Rajan Jain, Upkar Singh and Surinder Singh.

It may be mentioned here that LETS elections were scheduled to be held on November 30. The society has 855 members of which 180 are from Jalandhar and 22 from SAS Nagar. The remaining are from Ludhiana.
