TRIBUTE TO GANG RAPE VICTIM: No 2013 celebrations

New Delhi, December 31,2012: To pay tribute to departed soul of the Delhi gang raped girl, the appeal of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) made two days ago to say No to New Year Celebrations this year has widely impacted in Delhi and other parts of the country as a result of which the trade associations did not illuminate their respective markets and cancelled their programmes of new year celebrations whereas majority of hotels, clubs and other spots where celebration of new year is a permanent feature have also announced cancellation of such programmes.

CAIT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said that the brutal and heinous incident has affected emotions and sentiments of the people of India and deciding not to celebrate New Year functions this year is an outcome of natural process emanated from such feelings and it will be a major tribute of the nation to the departed soul.
