KVM School students paid educational visit to DMCH

Ludhiana, April 18, 2016: Students of KVM School, Civil Lines pursuing 10+2 (Medical) today paid an educational visit to DMC Hospital.
Assistant Dean Academics-Dr Sandeep Kaushal extended warm welcome to the students and faculty accompanying the students. In his address to the students, Principal Dr Sandeep Puri said no doubt, medicine is one of the noblest professions but it needs passion and empathy for your patients to be a competent and successful doctor.
The students got an excellent opportunity to know about the functioning of various departments of the hospital including Emergency Area, Medicine Wards, Surgery Wards, OT & Recovery, Blood Bank, various Laboratory areas including round of medical college building, in which they came to know about different areas of Basic Science Department including Anatomy, Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine, Pharmacology, Physiology and Community Medicine
They also interacted with doctors of various specialties and learned about basic functioning of different areas of the hospital. The visiting students were also introduced to x-ray machine, CT Scan machine, MRI machine, ultrasound machine and other imaging system equipments. The functionality of ECG, EEG, EMG and defibrillator along with the electrode system was also demonstrated to the students. The visit was coordinated by Dr Ashish Ahuja, Dr Narenderpal Jain and Dr Seema Gupta.
