KMV organising 2-day Exhibition-cum-sale

Jalandhar, October 20, 2016: PG Department of Fashion Designing of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar is organising a two-day exhibition-cum-sale Prayaas on 21st and 22nd October in Hotel Shangrila. This exhibition is the 6th exhibition by the department. At KMV, the motto ‘earn while you learn’ is a hallmark feature of academics where students are trained not only for creating products, but also skilled in their marketing while dealing with real customers. This exhibition which is focusing on skill development will feature festive Diwali products like fairy diyas, diya gift packing, jewellery torans, suite, sareer, jackets, Kurtis, bed sheets, cushion covers, t-shirt, marks, towel-sets, file folders, roti wraps, table mats and summer, wall hangings, bags, decorative items, get and wax candles.
The Kaushal Kednra is associated with this exhibition as it promotes skill development this year the Department of Home Science will feature festive sweets made by the students of home science.
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, the visionary behind this exhibition lauded the efforts of the HOD Harpreet Kaur, Ms. Amarjot Kaur, Ms. Tarandeep Kaur and the Department of Fashion Designing. She appreciated the efforts put by the students. Dr. Madhumeet was also applauded for her advisory role in this exhibition.
