PU VC to deliver spl lecture on history of education and research in India at IISc Bangalore on June 14

Chandigarh, June 13, 2016: Panjab University (PU) Vice Chancellor Prof. Arun Kumar Grover would deliver a special lecture on history of education and research in India at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore on June 14.
The three day long special symposium is being organized by IISc in association with JNCASR, Bangalore on the topic of "Contemporary Issues in Condensed Matter systems". The meeting is being held to honour Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS), Prof. Ajay Sood's lifelong contributions to the science and society. A number of noted scientists from different parts of India and abroad are participating in the prestigious symposium.
Bharat Ratna Prof CNR Rao inaugurated the symposium today with his inaugural lecture.
Prof Grover would speak on the topic of “Harbingers of Higher Education & Research and National Development in Independent India: A Selective Comprehension”.
