KMV Organises Declamation Contest in Collaboration with PNB

Jalandhar, November 14, 2015: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-The Heritage Institution’s, Department of Student Welfare organised a Declamation contest on Moral Values Ethics in collaboration with Punjab National Bank. Chief Guests on the occasion were Sh. Anil Sharma, Deputy Manager, Circle Head, PNB, Jalandhar and Mr.J.K.Sehgal, Senior Manager, Branch Office, KMV. There was an overwhelming participation of around 25 students who shared their valuable views on this topic of umpteen significance. Around 100 students were present on this occasion. Mrs Seema Jain, Mrs Veena Deepak and Dr Neeraj Sharma performed the onerous job of adjudging the event.
The cash prize of Rs. 1000/- was given to Shobhna who stood first. Second and third prize of Rs. 500/- and Rs. 300/- were given to Vibhuti and Ravinder respectively. Sakshi got the consolation prize. In the end, the Chief Guest Sh. Anil Sharma motivated the students to imbibe moral values. 
Prof Atima Sharma, Principal, KMV in her address averred that it is the crying need of the hour to inculcate moral values in the youth today. In this competitive world when “success is counted sweetest” the youth wish and seem to adopt all possible ways to court success. They do not think moral values to be of much value. At this juncture events such as the present one  play a pivotal role in making the youth cherish moral values. She appreciated Dr. Madhumeet, Dean Student Welfare for organising the Declamation Contest in collaboration with Punjab National Bank. Among others present were Mrs Reena Sharma, Mrs Barjinder, Ms Gorvi and Ms. Itee.
