Admission Brochure for Academic Session 2024-25 of Department of Economics, PU released 

Chandigarh, May 8, 2024: The Admission Brochure for the Academic Session 2024-25 of the Department of Economics, Panjab University(PU) was released by Prof. Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor, PU. 

The admission brochure, comprising the details regarding the courses offered by the department including the link for official notice board, Department of Economics, and PU-PGCET 2024. 

Chairperson, Dr. Smita Sharma, and faculty member, Dr. Nitin Arora, conveyed that the department is much sought after in the region and receives 1000 plus applications for the M.A. program having 80 seats which is conducted through PU-PG CET. Four-year undergraduate program (FYUGP) with multiple entry and exit options has been successfully started last year. For undergraduate program, admission is on the basis of 10+2 merit. The department has had the honour of having produced many well-known economists and is striving to retain its stature.

Chandigarh May 8, 2024: This is for the information of the candidates in particular and public in general that the Panjab University, Chandigarh will hold Joint Entrance Test (CET) and Centralised Counselling for the B.Ed. Programme for the session 2024-2025 for all the colleges of Education (Govt. / Govt. Aided and Private Self-Financed Colleges) affiliated to (1) Panjab University, Chandigarh (2) Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and (3) Punjabi University, Patiala.

According to a press release issued by PU, Chandigarh, the registration portal for B.Ed. admission will be activated in the first week of June, 2024. Aspirants seeking admission in B.Ed. are advised to register themselves on this portal and fill the online application form for Common Entrance Test.
