KMV Celebrates World Environment Day
Jalandhar, June 5, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Autonomous and Heritage Institution, No. 1 College in India (India Today Ranking 2019) Jalandhar’s Department of Environment Sciences celebrated World Environmental Day 2019. Various activities like Best Out of the Waste, Poster Making and Rangoli competitions were organized on the occasion. More than 200 students of various streams of Collegiate School participated in the same. The main motive of this event was to make the students aware about the 3R’s of the environment that is Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. As the theme of this year was Beat Plastic Pollution students made various useful and decorative items out of discarded Plastic materials. In addition to this students also utilized paper and other waste also. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya lauded the students and Ms. Sadhna Tandon, Dean Life Sciences, Ms. Sufalica Kalia and Ms. Sonam from dept. of Environmental Sciences for sensitizing the students and making the event a big success. They appreciated all the students for joining the cause and asked them to remain connected to such initiatives in future too. Dr. Madhumeet, Dean Student Welfare and Mrs. Veena Deepak were also present on this occasion.
