Woman’s Day celebrated at Ludhiana Group of Colleges

Ludhiana, March 9, 2019: Woman’s day was celebrated with full enthusiasm at Ludhiana Group of Colleges on 8th March. International Women's Day encourages us all to reflect on the importance of gender equality, to celebrate the successes of women, and to acknowledge the work that is still left to be done. An occasion that has been observed since the early 1900s to inspire change for the equal rights and treatment of women in society. It is a day to recognize the extraordinary acts of women and to stand together, as a united force, to advance gender equality around the world. We at Ludhiana Group of Colleges celebrated the progress made towards achieving gender equality and women's empowerment. What better way to celebrate it than to shine light on the ladies who have contributed to society with their talent, perseverance, and timeless wisdom. The guest of honor for the event was Mrs. Mridula Jain- the founder of Shingora Textiles Ltd., Dr. Sarita Behl Principal Devki Dev Jain Memorial College of women, Ludhiana and MrsSunita Sharma an expert Motivational Speaker. Management, Mr. Gurmeet Sachdeva, Mr. Rajiv Gulati and Mr. Vikram Grover Dr. Rakesh Kumar (Principal Engineering department), Dr. J.K Chawla (Director) and Dr. Nishi Bala (Principal Mgmt) and the faculty members were present at the function.
