Investiture Ceremony in Cambridge International School

Jalandhar, May 25, 2016: Investiture Ceremony is a momentous occasion in a school where the newly elected and selected Student Council is given new responsibilities with the ardent expectation of selfless service by the council towards the institute. Investiture Ceremony was held in the school premises on Wednesday. The newly elected Student Council was very excited on this day as it is a defining moment in a student’s life.
The ceremony began with a crisp March Past show by the Student Council. After the Flag Handing over Ceremony, the House Captains, Vice Captains and all the Prefects were decorated with sashes and badges. The Oath Taking Ceremony was done with full honour wherein the students swore to perform their duties to the best of their capabilities .The Chief Guest of the day Colonel Rajesh Dogra , the proud recipient of Vishisht Seva Medal congratulated the office bearers in his speech and encouraged them to perform their duties whole heartedly as the whole school had vested their trust in them by democratically electing them through strict voting which was done in the school few days ago.
To instill feelings of responsibility, competition and leadership among the students, election of Student Council was done in Cambridge International School (Chotti Baradari) . This election is the most awaited event of the year which involves almost the whole school.
Many deserving candidates gave their names for nomination for the various posts like Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captain, Sports Captain etc . It was a tough task for the House Incharges to shortlist the candidates from such a varied and deserving number of applicants .
A sense of electrifying excitement was felt in the air on this day. A lot of enthusiasm was witnessed among the students while casting their votes. Students had a tough time making their decision from amongst so many deserving candidates. The result tally was a clear reflection of the stiff competition between all the participants.
On this occasion, Chairman of the school Mr. Ajay Bhatia, Deputy Chairman Mr. Deepak Bhatia, Executive Director Mr. J.K Kohli, Chief Education Officer Learning Wings Ms. Deepa Dogra , Directors of Education Learning Wings Ms. Kiranjoth Dhillon, Ms. Meenu Huria ,Ms. Preeti Sharma, Mr Manoj Agnihotri, Member of the Educational Secretariat Ms Smita Verma and Principal Mr. Stanley Anthony congratulated the winning candidates and advised them to perform their duties to the best of their capacity and capability and leave no stone unturned in proving themselves true to the logo of the school ie ‘Dream ,Dare and Do’ .
