International Student's Week 2015 kicked off to grand start at PCTE

International Student's Week 2015 kicked off to grand start at PCTE, Ludhiana on Tuesday.

Ludhiana, March 3, 2015: International Students at PCTE Group of Institutes are back with their annual event ‘International Student’s Week 2015?. The event provides a platform for students from all over the world to experience different cultures from different countries that too under one roof. The cultural diversity between different nations will be showcased through the means of art, music, dances, sports and cuisines. The weeklong event includes events like Global Village - International Booth Day, Tour Day, International Cuisine Fest and Grand Finale which will culminate with Cultural performances and exhibitions followed by Lunch.
 
On the First day Global Village was organised in which students put up their native booths. Display of Culture, Flag & Native commodities along with Information about the country and Tattoo Making marked the day. Students from more than 15 countries participated in the activity. “The event has something to offer to everyone. There were various competitions including Traditional Dances, Singing which were full of fun and heart thumping performances.” said Nancy, student from Mozambique at PCTE.
 
On the occasion, Dr K.N.S. Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes said that PCTE has 230 odd International students from 30 countries including Macedonia, Kyrgyzstan, Namibia, Burundi, South Sudan, Bhutan, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan, Cameroon, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Lesotho, Angola, Nigeria, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Congo Brazzaville, Ghana, South Africa, Papua New Guinea, Gambia, Columbia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Nepal and Exchange Students from France, who are studying in different courses at PCTE.
 
Dr. Kang further said that such events promote sense of brotherhood and team spirit among the students. He said that it’s a great opportunity for Indian students to learn and compare themselves with foreign students, which in turn will prepare them to take bigger challenges in the global competitive world.
