Jalandhar, October 22, 2016: IKG PTU Zonal Youth Festival continued here today at DAVIET Campus for the second day. The budding technocrats impressed one and all with their talent and knowledge. The ongoing Youth Festival has the theme of Digital India and it has been dedicated to the memory of 125th Birth Anniversary of Baba Sahib Dr.Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
On Day two the important events of Skit, Mime, Bhangra , Elocution, Debate , Vaar Singing, Punjabi Folk Song, Light Vocal Indian, Group Song Indian, Clay Modeling , Cartooning and Poster Making were organized. The competing teams gave their best to outperform each other to win laurels for their respective colleges. Bhangra and the literary events witnessed very tough competition. The talented artists made every one tap to the beat of the dhol with their sheer enthusiasm and skill, while the debaters analysed the topic “Digitalization can Change the Face of the Nation” threadbare.
Dr. Manoj Kumar , Principal DAVIET, stated that such festivals are very important to hone the overall personality of students. He highlighted that it is well developed all round personality which can make students responsible citizens of the nation. He wished all the participants the best of luck for their performances.
Dr. N.P Singh, Dean IKG Punjab Technical University was the Chief Guest in the Prize Distribution function in the evening where the winners were awarded.
