IIA-LC delegation going to China to study Chinese building materials

Ludhiana, September 2, 2014: “The Indian Institute of Architects- Ludhiana Centre (IIA-LC) Delegation of Architects is leaving on September 3 for one week to study building materials of China.
Chinese Building Material are playing ever increasing role not only in China or India but in many parts of the world.
The grass root knowledge after visiting the manufacturing units/ Industry is must to compare it with Indian building materials Industry. The important building materials are floorings, lighting, paints, glass, hardware, modular kitchens, wall tiles, china wares, shower panels, cubicles, wires, switches, furniture of all types, cement, steel, board, ply, laminates, carpets, wall papers, timber, pipes, gates, grills, aluminum work etc.
As more and more showrooms/ shops are selling imported building materials in Ludhiana/ India so few active members from Ludhiana Architects planned a first live tour to Chinese industry after getting proper invitation.
The IIA –LC delegation is also scheduled to meet Chinese Architects and students to share designing and construction knowledge of both countries.
The delegation will primarily visit “GUANGZHOU” and “FOSHAN” apart from few other areas.
The National President of IIA Ar. Parkash Deshmukh from Mumbai has congratulated the Ludhiana Architects from IIA-LC for this upcoming visit.
