Ludhiana Peddlers take out cycle rally for green diwali

More than 100 cyclist were lead by Ranjodh Singh, Patron of the club to take out the rally to different parts of the Ludhiana city on Monday. The rally went through the main market of Sarabha Nagar, Malhar Road and Ferozepur road,  conveying the message to the public to avoid crackers on Diwali night as it spreads lot of pollution, thereby spoiling the environment. @ www.cityairnews.com

Ludhiana, October 20, 2014: Ludhiana Peddlers, the enthusiastic cycling club of Ludhiana started its mission by holding a cycle rally in Ludhiana to spread the message of green Diwali. The rally was flagged off by Advocate Jatinder Singh Sandhu, Secretary of Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Sarabha Nagar and Principal Narinder Kaur Sandhu of Ramgarhia Girls College from the gurdwara premises.
More than 100 cyclist were lead by Ranjodh Singh, Patron of the club to take out the rally to different parts of the city. The rally went through the main market of Sarabha Nagar, Malhar Road and Ferozepur road,  conveying the message to the public to avoid crackers on Diwali night as it spreads lot of pollution, thereby spoiling the environment. Due to the fireworks, many children and adults get injured and burn their hands too. Moreover, it’s a health hazard.  So, Ludhiana Pedllers Club and its members are pledging to spread this message of green and clean Diwali to all. 
On this Occasion, the club president, Davinder Singh Nagi and Jagdeep Malhotra, Secretary addressed the public on road side walks .They jointly issued a statement that the Club will work for `Clean Ludhiana Drive’ and take various initiatives to promote cycling for health and happiness. Gurinder Singh, expressed his views on promoting cycling amongst youth. The event was co-ordinated by Surjit Singh Matharoo, Vice President and Angad Singh Big Ben, media secretary with active participation from all the members of the Club.
