Shimla, December 20, 2015: Himachal Kalyan Sabha organised its 47th Annual Day as ‘Himachali Mela’ at New Delhi today. Health and Family Welfare Minister Thakur Kaul Singh was Chief Guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Thakur Kaul Singh lauded the efforts of the Sabha, in conserving rich cultural repository of the State. He said that this also provides an opportunity to the people of Himachal Pradesh living in the National capital to showcase culture of the State, besides strengthening bond of brotherhood. He said that this also provides an opportunity to the people from other parts of the country to have glimpse of the rich and diverse culture of the State.
Health and Family Welfare Minister provided Rs 20,000 from his discretionary fund to the Sabha for strengthening its activities.
A colourful culture programme was organized on the occasion by the artists of State Language and Culture Department.
Shri D.D.Dogra, General Secretary of Himachal Kalyan Sabha welcomed the Chief Guest and detailed various activities being undertaken by the Sabha.
