Jalandhar, November 18, 2015: Col Santosh Mahadik, Commanding Officer, 41 Rashtriya Rifles attained martyrdom at Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir while leading a column of troops against terrorists from the LeT on 17 Nov 2015.
Lt Gen DS Hooda Army Commander Northern Commad moved to Srinagar to pay tributes to the martyr in a ceremony at Badami Bagh Cantonment. The mortal remains were flown to Satara, Maharashtra from Udhampur Airfield where tributes to the martyr were paid by Lt Gen NPS Hira, Chief of Staff, Headquarters Northern Command.
