Ludhiana, July 9, 2019: A pious and noble cause of planting trees dedicated to 550th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev, with aim to reach out the concept of nature enshrined in Guru Granth Sahib by Guru Nanak Dev Ji in his hymns “Pavan Guru Paani Pitha, Maata Dharath Mahat”, which means “Air is the teacher, water is the father, earth is the mother”
Punjab & Haryana High Court Lawyer Harpreet Sandhu, initiated plantation drive by way of planting and distributing Pipal trees amongst the Sangat as prasad at Gurudwara Ber Sahib along with Mr. Avtar Singh Dhindsa, one of the Country’s leading flower exporter and floriculturist of Punjab. The Head Granthi performed Ardaas and later Harpreet Sandhu and Avtar Singh Dhindsa along with the members of the Gurudwara Ber Sahib management distributed pipal trees and also appraised the sangat regarding the drastic effects of environmental changes and motivated them to contribute in this drive by planting trees within their respective areas making Punjab more greener. Mr. Harpreet Sandhu, Advocate shared amongst the Sangat present in Gurudwara Ber Sahib regarding the innovative and meaningful thought of Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh, to plant 550 trees in every village of Punjab as a mission under Tandrust Punjab, which has today augured well as people of State have started showing keen interest towards this plantation drive. Mr. Sandhu has taken up sewa to plant 550 Amaltas and Gulmohur flower trees in and around Sultanpur Lodhi within the month of July - August 2019..
