Jalandhar, December 20, 2014: A story telling session by the grandmothers was held at Cambridge International School, Chotti Baradari-II, Jalandhar on Friday.

"Stories have power. They delight, enchant, touch, teach, recall, inspire, motivate and challenge. They help us understand. They imprint a picture on our minds."

Cambridge always tries to provide the best and the most innovative learning ideas to the students. Keeping that goal in mind, teachers are regularly encouraged to attend different seminars, workshops etc. to upgrade themselves. One such workshop on storytelling ‘Kathalaya’ was attended by the primary teachers. This experience motivated them to conduct this very interesting activity ‘Tales by Grandmother’ wherein all the teachers of grade III came dressed up as grandmothers. They narrated fascinating stories with voice modulation, expressive gestures and irresistible enthusiasm. The children listened to the stories with rapt attention. Their expressions of joy were the ultimate reward for the teachers.

Chairman Ajay Bhatia, Deputy Chairman Deepak Bhatia, Directors Learning Wings Dr Brijesh and Nitin Kohli,Director CIS J K Kohli, Academic Director Deepa Dogra and Headmistress Kiranjoth Dhillon  appreciated the efforts of the teachers.
