Gang of thieves busted by Ferozepur Police

Ferozepur, September 19, 2019: Ferozepur police have achieved a major success and have arrested five persons who were involved in various incidents of theft Giving details Vivek Sheel Soni, SSP said that on September 17, 6-7 unidentified persons had stolen one tractor (Mohindra), One Car (PB 03 AG 9870), One Scooter, One LCD and one mobile phone (total approximate value around Rs.6 lakh) from a rice mill situated at Village Sekhwan in Zira sub-division. A case under sections 457, 380 IPC was lodged at Zira Sadar Police Station on September 18 (FIR No.98 dated 18.09.19). The SSP said that during the investigation the police identified all the accused as Gurlal Singh alias Ghali, resident of Village Kulla, Jaspal Singh alias Jass, resident of Village Sadra (all in Tarn Taran district), Baaj Singh resident of Khemkaran, Manpreet Singh alias Babla, resident of Village Kulla, Sukhdev Singh alias resident of Village Aasal Uthar (all in Tarn Taran district). “All the accused have been nabbed besides one Mangal alias Kaan”, said SSP. Two trucks which were used by the accused (PB 3P 9247 and PB 05 S 9082) have also been recovered which were used to lift bags have been impounded by the police. Divulging more details, the SSP said that during the investigation it was revealed that the accused were also involved in the theft of 470 bags of wheat/ rice from Punjab state godown situated at Mudki in Ghall Khurd (FIR No. 88 dated 20.09.19) and 992 bags from Sadar area (FIR No. 181 dated 09.09.19). He said that the accused had sold the entire wheat to Jaspal who runs a flour mill. The SSP said that Jaspal had already been booked in another case (FIR No. 104 dated 13.04.19) for stealing 700 bags of wheat. CASES REGISTERED AGAINST ACCUSED GURLAL SINGH 1.
