Ferozepur, December 1, 2019: The audience was enthralled at All India Mushaira, the prime feature of the 15th Mohan Lal Bhaskar Art and Theatre Festival held on Saturday night at Vivekananda World School, Ferozepur, to mark the 77th birth anniversary of Shri Mohan Lal Bhaskar.
The arena was packed with distinguished guests hailing from different regions and different spheres ranging from judiciary to bureaucrats besides dignitaries from all walks of life. Meanwhile Dr.S.N.Rudra, Director VWS, on behalf of MLB foundation welcomed all the guests in the event while Gaurav Sagar Bhaskar, gave vote of thanks.
The event was organized in the memory of former Indian spy in Pakistan, Mohan Lal Bhaskar, who, while working as an agent with Indian security agencies, intruded into Pakistan sixteen times, but was held on the 17th as a double-cross agent ditched him. He was awarded death sentence by a Pakistani court, but the higher court reduced it to fourteen years of imprisonment and he was repatriated under the Shimla agreement on December 9, 1974. Later on, he narrated his experience in various jails of Pakistan in an autobiography `Under the Shadow of Bayonets and Bars’ which was awarded Saansad Sri Kant Verma National Award in 1989. The book was published in ten languages. Mohan Lal Bhaskar Foundation honored Sh. Vipul Narang (Amit Foundation) with MLB Social Worker Award, Sh.Amit Sharma (Resident Editor), Dainik Jagran, Punjab with (MLB Young Achiever Award), Sh Jaswant Singh Zafar with MLB Literary Award, Sh.Sukhbeer Singh with MLB Emerging Sports Star Award and Sh.Rakesh Nagpal and Sh.Manoj Nagpal, (Sarhad Kesari Social Welfare Society) and also distributed two fruit ‘Rehris’ to two needy persons under ‘Self Employment Program’ of MLB.
Meanwhile, eminent poets Janab Farhat Ehsaas recited Ilaz apna karate fir rahe ho jaane kis kis se, mohobba karke dekgho na mohobbat kyu nhi krte” Janab Muskesh Aalam recited “Rafta rafta hosh mujhko is qudar aa jayega aansuo ko geet likhne ka hunar aa jayega”, Janab Haseb Soz recited “Zara si chot lagi thi chalna bhul gye, sharif log the ghar se nikalna bhul gye”, Janab Fayaaz Farooki recited “Ghar jo bharna ho to rishwat se bhar jata hai, haa magar is se duaon ka asar jata hai”, while other poets including Kaleem Samar, Janab Farhat Ehsaas, Ritaz Maini, Haseeb Soz, Moien Sadhab, Varun Anand, Dinesh Harman, Kaleem samar to spellbound the audience.
