Ludhiana, August 20, 2019: The Youth Akali Dal team led by district President Gurdeep Singh Gosha and Prabhjot Singh Dhaliwal reached Bholewal village near Satluj River, where the swollen Sutlej River breached the Dhussi bundh and inundated fields of village.

The large number of Youth Akali Dal activists repaired the bundh and stopped the water entering the village. The party workers also distribute langar to villagers.

The Youth Akali Dal district president Gurdeep Singh Gosha said that the large number of people was affected due to floods but the Government and administration didn’t provide even little help. The officials were just supervising the situation and entire work to stop water entering flood. The Government has also made announcements but no work was done on ground level.

Prabhjot Singh Dhaliwal said that the Shiromani Akali Dal only believe in helping the people rather that doing politics. He said that the Youth Akali Dal workers will continue to stay in villages till the situation will bring under control.

During the rescue operation, Nirbhai Singh, Soni Pandit, Gagandeep Giaspura, Taranjit Singh, Vishal, Rajveer Singh, Ravi Raikot, Harwinder Singh Namdarin Surinder Singh Namdhari, Dawinder Sarpanch, Happy Sekho, Kamal Haibowal, Jagjit Singh, Gurdeep Mehndi, Kuldeep Singh, Sanjeev Chaudhary, Shan Sharma, Depu Ghai, Lovpreet, Sunny Raikot, Harmeet Singh, Puneet Raja, Parmjeet Singh, Varun Malhotra, Jagdeep Singh, Rakesh Kumar and Rajdeep Singh were present.
