Food Stall by Department of Food Science and Microbiology at KMV

A Food Stall by Department of Food Science and Microbiology seen installed at KMV, Jalandhar.

Jalandhar, February 9, 2015: To make teaching and learning innovative and practical Department of Food Science & Microbiology at KMV taught its students the concept of food fortification, fermentation and preservation by making them cook such foods practically and putting them on sale at a food stall to make the concept common in public. 

The under graduate students of Food Science and Microbiology organised this event.    They prepared different types of (sugar-free) fortified cakes (like mixed fruit oats, chocolate brownes) cookies, soya fortified naan khatai, oat cookies, amla spread, chukh, coconut laddu and peanut chutney. 

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma inaugurated the stall and said that such methods were all set to revolutionise the world of food for better and healthy living.
