Amritsar, February 19, 2015: The decision to discontinue B.Com (Professional) Degree of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar, is the decision of the Academic Council of the University, said Registrar, GNDU, Amritsar in a statement here today.
He added the decision shall be in practice (discontinuation) from the Academic Session 2015-16 and those already admitted shall complete their degree as per the Ordinances at the time of their respective admission. Therefore, those who are currently pursuing this course need not exhibit any insecurity.
Further, he said this is also important to mention here that the B.Com (Professional) Degree of GNDU is at par with the other graduate degrees of the University and is recognised by the University as equivalent for getting admission in postgraduate programmes and for job. (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
