Ludhiana, May 26, 2016: Dr Tejinder Singh, Professor of Pediatrics and Medical Education and Vice Principal at CMC, Ludhiana has been selected for the prestigious Dr B C Roy National Award for Eminent Medical Teacher. The award is given by Medical Council of India to recognise the merit of an eminent medical teacher. Dr Singh has been involved with medical education for more than 25 years and has been nominated as National Convener of the Medical Council of India Fellowship Program in Medical Education. He also acts as National Consultant for this program. He is also the founding Director of FAIMER regional Institute in India. Author of two best-selling books on medical education, over 25 chapters in various books and more than 200 papers in reputed journals, Dr. Singh has completed his medical education training from the Maastricht University, Netherlands.

Dr. Tejinder Singh has also been earlier selected for the Excellence in Medical Education award of the National Board of Examinations (under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare) as Eminent NBE Alumnus.

This is the 3rd time DR. BC Roy Award the faculty at CMC Ludhiana has received so far; the earlier ones include Dr. Alex Zachariah in 1990 and Dr. Abraham G Thomas in 2000.
