Ranjit Singh (Centre), on the occasion of coming back to Ferozepur after winning silver medal in Asian Games in 2010.
Ferozepur, September 26, 2014: Residents of Village Thatha Kishan Singh, near Ferozepur are in jubilant mood after receiving the news of Indian Rowing team winning the Bronze Medal in 27th Asian Games held at Incheon, South Korea.
Ranjit Singh, a member of bronze medal winner team in Asian Games has brought laurels for the residents of this border town. His team including Kapil Sharma, Bajarang Takad, P. Robin, Savan, Mohammad Azaad, Maninder and Devender had secured third place in rowing competition. Ranjit was also a part of team which secured silver medal at Asian Games held at China.
His father Sukhdev Singh and mother Veerpal Kaur said on this occasion that his success has brought smiles on everyone’s face.
