Extension Lecture on Wetland Conversation at KMV

Jalandhar, October 6, 2015: Extension lecture on ‘Wetland Conversation’ was organised by the Department of Zoology under KMV DBT Star College Scheme. Dr.Anish Dua, Prof Department of Zoology GNDU, Amritsar was the Speaker on the occasion. Dr.Dua began by under lining the importance of environmental conversation in general and moved on to wetland conversation in particular. He apprised the students about the importance of wetlands as they supported unique flora and fauna and also explained the threat to wetlands in the present era of environmental apathy. Methods of conserving wetlands were also elaborated upon. Principal  Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi graced the occasion and observed that it was very imperative for all to know their environment and live in harmony with it. She further added that we should take good care of all the gifts that nature has bestowed upon mankind. Among others present on the occasion were Mrs. Sadhana Tandon, Dr. Manju, Dr. Updesh and Dr. Savita.
