A view of extension lecture on Special Theory of Relativity at KMV, Jalandhar.
Jalandhar, September 25, 2015: P.G.Department of Physics of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar organised an extension lecture on Albert Einstein’s ‘Special Theory of Relativity’. Dr.Atul Khanna, Prof. Department of Physics from GNDU, Amritsar was the resource person for the same. Students of M.Sc. Physics and B.Sc.Non Medical were the prominent target audience. In the lively interactive session Dr.Khanna talked about how Einstein began his research and how he arrived at the ‘Special Theory of Relativity’, which changed Man’s perception of the ‘The World’ forever. He said that real lessons must be derived from the life and methods of research of such scientists. He asked the students to attain clarity in the physical meaning and logics of various facts of ‘Physics’. Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the Head of the P.G. Dept. of Physics Mrs. Parminder Kaur and the faculty for encouraging students to upgrade their knowledge of the subject through such events. She also exhorted the students to develop interest in research and become harbingers of positive changes around themselves.
