Ludhiana, January 6, 2016: A state level training-cum-workshop for Progressive Beekeepers Association (PBKA) was held at the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) today under the guidance of Dr R.S.Sidhu, Director of Extension Education.
Divulging details, Dr T.S. Riar, Programme Coordinator, said the members of PBKA were educated about winter management of honey bees. Besides, they were informed about Punjab National Bank (PNB) schemes for beekeeping development, he told. In addition, the Department of Horticulture, Punjab apprised the members of the schemes for beekeepers.
The resource persons included Dr P.K. Chhuneja, Beekeeping expert, and Mr Gautam, a representative of PNB.
