Ludhiana, February 8, 2016: The Central Committee meeting of Punjab Bank Employees Federation (PBEF) held today in Ludhiana. While addressing the meeting, Sh.Naresh Gaur, Dy Secretary of PBEF and Senator, Panjab University, Chandigarh told that in the year 2012, he contested for Senate Election of Panjab University, Chandigarh and was elected as a Senator in 2012. From 1st January 2015 to 31st Dec. 2015, he represented in Syndicate after being elected unopposed. Since 2012, as a Senator and Syndicate, he is regularly fighting against the victimization and exploitation of teachers at various levels by the College managements and for the cause of students as well. During this period, he fought for other issues also relating to laxity in papers in various exams. Time to time, he is continuously raising his voice for the betterment of students in every field. Only due to his strong persuation as a Member of the Fees Committee for the Affiliated Colleges, there was only 2.5% increase in fees which was supposed to be increased on the very high side by the University.

Now again he is re-contesting this year. “We appeal all to support, vote and elect him as a Senator again enabling him to stand and fight firmly for the betterment of our future generation and also raise his voice against the exploitation and victimisation of teachers by the College Managements in different shapes. We assure you that being a Senator, his priority will only be to solve the issues relating to students as well as teachers and for the betterment of society in which we are living”, he said.

Adding he said, “ Let us Support, Vote and Elect Sh. Naresh Gaur to strengthen our education system, to make it transparent and raise our voice through him in the Senate.”
