Gurupurab Celebrated in Lyallpur Khalsa College

The students and staff here at Lyallpur Khalsa College paid their obeisance on the occasion of Sehaj Path held in the college Gurudwara today as a part of Gurupurab celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev ji. The occasion was marked by a religious procession in the college campus followed by recitation of Kirtan by Bhai Paramjit Singh, Meghewal, Hoshiarpur. Sardarni Balbir Kaur, President of the College Governing Council honoured the Ragis with Siropas. On the occasion, Principal of the College Dr. G.S. Samra said that the role of an academic institution was, in addition to imparting of education, inculcation of moral and spiritual values in students. He exhorted the students to seek guidance and moral strength from the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji. Keeping with the tradition, Langar was served to one and all at this time. Present on the occasion were Joint Secretary S. Jaspal Singh Wraich, S. Gurdeep Singh Sangha, S. Jagdeep Singh Shergill members Governing Council and Managing Committee, Dr. Navjot Kaur, Principal Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women, Dr. Daljit Singh, Principal KCL Institure of Law in addition to students and staff.
