Ex-Transport Minister Bali criticises Jai Ram Government
Dharamshala, August 23, 2018: “The BJP led government in Himachal is engaging conductors for Himachal Road Transport Corporation HRTC, from outsource”, said Ex-Transport Minister HP and Senior Congress leader GS Bali in a press conference here on Thursday. Bali said, “Such decision of HP government is anti-public as there are around 2,000 Transport Multi Purpose Assistants (TMPA), who always worked for HRTC during the crises. Why the government is not providing chance to them instead of inducting conductors through contractors.” Bali said that he could not understand that why the state government is willing to pay huge commission to the contractor when so many trained TMPA are available. Bali also criticised the idea of the government to discontinue with employees posted under IMC in Technical Education Department and said, “Under the state policy such employees were converted as regular one after 9,600 hours of service, whereas they are being thrown out after 2-3 years of service against rules.” Bali said, “As these employees are unable to knock the doors of the court, we will fight their case and Rs 2 lakh have already been collect for the same. We are continuously in touch with the lawyers.” Bali alleged that the government is in a plan to fix their supporters in place of these employees. Commenting over the heavy rainfall in the state, Bali said that there are frequent landslides and the government machinery in the state has failed miserably to clear the roads. He added that as the loss to general public is very huge the state government must ask the centre for special relief package.
