Eminent Environmental Geochemist Professor Brijraj Krishan Das cremated

Chandigarh, May 12, 2017: Eminent Environmental Geochemist Professor Brijraj Krishan Das was cremated today in sector 25 Chandigarh. He died yesterday after a brief illness. Dr Das was given glowing tributes on social media by his students and fans from across the country and abroad. His cremation was attended by senior Professors serving and retired from across the Panjab University and Chandigarh University. He had published very high impact research papers in international research journals and had executed important research projects of DST Govt of India at Panjab University Chandigarh. His students occupied key positions in leading organisations of the country. Dr Das 82 is survived by his wife and a son and daughter. He was famous as a very strict teacher and dedicated researcher who always spent around 12 hours a day on his research even on holidays. His instruments were his obsession and he was proud of his operational labs.
