Dr Aulakh stressed the need for Organ Donation

Ludhiana, March 3, 2018: Ludhiana, March 3, 2018: Renowned Urologist and Transplant Surgeon of the region- Dr Baldev Singh Aulakh, was recently invited to address the august gathering on importance of organ donation.
The gathering was presided of President of India Sh Ram Nath Kovind along with Governor of Punjab Sh V P Singh Badnore, Governor of Haryana Sh Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Sh Acharya Virat, MP Smt Kirron Kher and Padam Shri Ms.Poonam Suri and others at Chandigarh.
Dr Aulakh asked all those present on the occasion to pledge for voluntarily organ donation.
On the occasion, President Sh Ram Nath Kovind said that the countrymen should come forward to voluntarily donate their organs and this voice for noble cause should come from within their heart.
It is noteworthy that Dr Aulakh who has done more than 15,000 urological surgeries including 2000 kidney transplants. In his message, Dr Aulakh said that there is huge gap between need and supply of organs. Nearly 4 lac patients die every year in India due to lack of organs and most painful moment for a doctor is when a patient having kidney-failure says he or she doesn’t have any donor to save his life.
In his mission to promote the cause of voluntarily organ donation, Dr Aulakh administered the oath to audience pledging for organ donation.
