District Level Review Committee Meeting To Review Progress Of Banks & Agencies Held

Ludhiana, June 2, 2016: To review the progress of banks and agencies in Ludhiana district for the fourth quarter that ended on March 31, 2016 of the financial year 2015-16, a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting was held at Bachat Bhawan, here today. The meeting was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Miss Apneet Riyait. ADCP Mr Sukhpal Singh Brar and Zonal Manager Punjab & Sind Bank Ludhiana Mr Virender Jit Singh also attended the meeting.
The meeting was convened by Punjab & Sind Bank which is The Lead Bank of Ludhiana. The meeting was also attended by Mr Anoop Singh Chawla, Lead District Manager, Ludhiana, Mr K.K Sharma, L.D.O, Reserve Bank of India, Chandigarh, Mr Nalin K. Roy, District Development Manager NABARD, Ludhiana, Mr Vijay, Director R-SETI, Punjab & Sind Bank, Ludhiana and Paramjit Singh Bhatia, Manager, Lead Bank Office, Ludhiana.
Miss Apneet Riyait informed that as on March 31, 2016, all banks in Ludhiana district have a deposit of Rs. 51069 Crores, advances of Rs 69259 Crores, the C.D Ratio of the Ludhiana district is 135 %, all banks in Ludhiana district has Priority Sector Advances of Rs. 28295 Crores, Total Agriculture Advances of Rs. 8690 Crores, Weaker Section Advances of Rs. 4585 Crores, Small Farmer Advances of Rs. 3353 Crores and SC/ ST Advances of Rs. 948 Crores.
She informed that No-frill accounts opened by all the banks increased by 179976 (from 752798 to 932774) on Y.O.Y basis. A total of 28612 Kissan Credit Cards have been issued to farmers by all banks Y.O.Y amounting to Rs. 425 Crores totaling to 206549 KCC amounting to Rs. 6326 Crores, 24719 General Credit Cards have been issued by all banks till March 31, 2016.
