Discussion on book “The Sikh Heritage Beyond Borders” of US-based writer held
Ludhiana, December 10, 2019: Parvasi Sahit Adhyan Kendar of Post Graduate Department of Punjabi of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College, in collaboration with Lok Virsat Academy, organised an interactive session to discuss US-based Dr.Dalvir Pannu's book entitled "The Sikh Heritage Beyond Borders". Dr S.P.Singh, (former Vice Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar) Honourary General Secretary, Gujranwala Khalsa Educational Council, extended a warm welcome to Dr Dalvir Pannu, and all worthy guests. Sharing his valuable views on the book he expressed that this book is associated with the Sikh beliefs and raises questions on the maintenance of Sikh Heritage as it is responsibility of the present generation to make this precious heritage available to the coming young generations. Prof Gurbhajan Singh Gill, former President, Punjabi Sahit Akadmi, also shared his views and said that this book is purely a representation of the Sikh-Muslim brotherhood. It is observed that Pakistan possesses more Sikh Heritage as compare to India. Dr Hardev Singh Virk, former Professor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, also shared his views on the same. Dr Dalvir Singh Pannu, discussing about his journey while writing this book said that this book is a result of his relentless endeavours and sleepless nights. He has especially mentioned that the primary and secondary sources of Sikh history have helped him to understand the sikh heritage in Pakistan. S. Ravinder Singh Bhattal also appreciated the indepth search and study of Dr. Dalvir Singh Pannu. Dr Arvinder Singh, College Principal, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all present. This occasion was graced by the benign presence of Prof Prithpal Singh Kapur, S. Hardeep Singh, S. Ravinder Singh Bhatthal, President, Punjabi Sahit Akadmi, S.
