Dhull attended FENS SfN Summer School-2015 at Bertinoro, University Center Of Bologna, Italy

Chandigarh, June 23, 2015:  Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh research scholar, Mr Dinesh Kumar Dhull has attended FENS SfN Summer School-2015 on "Shared mechanisms and specificity in neurodegenerative diseases” at Bertinoro, University Center Of Bologna, Italy.

Mr Dhull is a PhD research scholar in Department of Pharmacology in University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS). The summer school was organised by the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) and the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) from June 7 to 13 on the topic of "Shared mechanisms and specificity in neurodegenerative diseases”.

The school was meant for PhD scholars and postdocs with a neurobiological background. It was organized to discuss two main issues of ‘how the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases exhibit striking commonalities among distinct diseases’ and ‘how each disease preferentially targets selected subpopulations of neurons and neuronal functions in spite of widespread expression of the genes that influence disease.’

Mr Dinesh Kumar Dhull has also received full financial assistance from Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and Technology for this training program. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
