DEPUTY COMMISSIONER LAUNCHES "iDTO" MOBILE APP RELATED TO TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT

Ludhiana, September 23, 2016: Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, Mr Ravi Bhagat today launched a mobile application named "iDTO" for the District Transport Office here today. This mobile app has been developed for providing easy access to the facilities being provided by the District Transport Office.
This is a smart phone app which allows citizens to book tab and track tests for obtaining licenses from their smart phones. Further they can also view their license information, vehicle details, traffic sign information and contact details of various offices of the transport department.
While providing information, Deputy Commissioner Mr Ravi Bhagat stated that those wishing to apply for a learners license can book a tab test while those who are ready to obtain the regular license can book the track test from their phone itself and that they would not have to make rounds of the DTO office. He informed that to book time slots for any of these tests, the user has to first select location at which he or she wants to take the test. Two locations from which they can choose are - SCD Govt College for Boys and Sector 32, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana. To book a slot the user has to provide basic info like Name, email id and phone number and then select a date and time slot from the slots available. The user then has to click on the confirmation link sent to his or her email id to confirm the booking.
To view license information the user has to fill in their license number and date of birth and to check vehicle details vehicle registration number and last 3 digits of the chassis number of the vehicle are required. Mr Ravi Bhagat informed that this app is available for both Android and iOS smart phones. It has been developed by Ludhiana based Webrosoft Solutions (P) Ltd.
