Chandigarh, October 10, 2018: Mr Christopher Commins, Science Officer-Environment, Science and Technology affairs and Ms. Priya Ghose from Embassy of the United States of America visited Panjab University and PGIMER.
Prof Rajkumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, welcomed the delegation and deliberated on issues of social importance. He emphasized that collaboration should look for user friendly cost effective technologies for solving the issues of local region like stubble burning. Short term to long term goal will be helpful to address the issue of national importance.
Deligation interacted with experts Dr Ravindra Khaiwal, PGIMER, Sh Surender Pal, Director, IMD, Sh Vivek Pandey, Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee, Dr Manoj Raje and Dr Somya, IMTECH, Prof Siby John, PEC and DR Suman Mor along with their research team.
Dr Suman Mor, stated that we had deliberation on environmental issues especially on factors leading to air pollution and possible collaborations to work to solve these issue.
