Delegation of Chhota and Bara Bhangal areas meet CM
Dharamshala, December 11, 2019: A delegation from Bada Bhanghal and Chota Bhangal, the remotest area of Kangra district, paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur at the assembly complex at Tapovan in Dharamshala today, under the leadership of MLA Mulakh Raj Premi of Baijnath. The delegation made the Chief Minister aware of various problems and demands related to these difficult areas, which remain cut off from the country during winter. The delegation urged the Chief Minister to connect the region by road so that people can get the road facility as well as to promote tourism in the area. It may be added that these areas have not been connect by road so far. The Bara-Bhangal is located deep in Himalayas at the height of 2,575 metre, Bara-Bhangal village falls in Baijanth subdivision of Kangra district. In an era where so advanced technology, residents of Bara Bhangal, the remotest village of Kangra district, are without power and still lack communication facilities too. Chhota Bhangal is a village that is ironically gaining popularity for being completely unknown to tourists. Along the banks of the lovely Lama Dugh river, the village is soon becoming a great place to escape the usual tourist madness. The people of the area wish to make it more reachable to tourists. The Chief Minister assured the delegation to consider their demands sympathetically.
