CT Public School marks World Water Day

Jalandhar, March 22, 2019: CT Public School observed World Water Day, an international observance and an opportunity to learn more about water related issues in which an expert Er. Lupinder Kumar, Sub Divisional Soil Conservation Officer (SDSCO) interacted with the students of the school on the significance and sustainable management of water resources.

He was accompanied by two soil conservation officers Er. Seema and Er. Sumit.

A powerful and priceless presentation was presented by Lupinder Kumar to create awareness among students about the importance of conservation of this valuable finite resource for the future generation and explored numerous positive and negative impacts that the activity has on natural resources. He motivated students to save water and said, “Water plays an important role in daily lives of people, whether at home or out in the industry. The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save the water. My concern is that if not now then when and if not we then who?”

He suggested various measures to the students like bathing with buckets that consume 18 liters instead of bathing with shower that consume 100 liters. Likewise, we should brush our teeth with water in a mug rather than with running water; washing car with a wet cloth rather than flowing water which is a daily scenario etc.

Principal Daljeet Singh applauded the efforts and keen interest of the soil conservation officers in serving the humanity and also encouraged students to use this precious resource judiciously.
