CT Group marks Himachal Statehood Day
Industrial sector must join hands with educational sector to bridge the gap: MP Anurag Thakur Jalandhar, January 25, 2019: CT Group of Institutions marked Himachal Statehood Day by organizing Himachali Fusion- a Nati competition along with an interactive session of students with Chief Guest Anurag Thakur, Member of Parliament, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. More than 1000 students from various educational institutes along with their parents and faculty attended the session. On this occasion, Member of Parliament Anurag Thakur, who is an inspiration for youth said, “There are thousands of students from Himachal who shift to other cities like Punjab for pursuing their higher studies. But the problem is that they run for obtaining good marks and forget the overall development of themselves which is the major reason of increasing unemployment. Another reason is the increasing gap between educational sector and industrially demand. For better turnout and to meet the demands, industrial sector must join hands with educational sector to bridge this gap.” He further said, “Youth is the future of nation and they must dream high and work towards their goal. They must promote the Start Up mission which is doing excellent in this nation by being entrepreneurs and job providers. Educational institutes play an important role in the overall development of the students so that they can get success in their professional lives as well. Students must work towards the direction of serving the society and I believe that youth can create the destiny of India and make it a developed nation with passion and zeal.” The team from DAV University won the first prize of Nati competition and was awarded with cash prize of Rs. 5,100. Charanjit S Channi, Chairman, CT Group thanked MP Anurag Thakur for paying his visit at their campus and said that he is one of the young Parliamentarians who have achieved a lot in the fields of politics and sports. He later motivated students to work hard and follow their dreams to become successful in their lives. Managing Director Manbir Singh, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, Campus Director Dr. GS Kalra and Vice Principal CTIEMT Dr. Vaneet Thakur were present along with the faculty and students of the campus.
