The students of Airlines, Tourism and Hospitality started the week long celebrations with displaying various tourism models depicting monumental heritage of India, parks and gardens, Mizoram heritage village, adventure sports, seven wonders of the world etc.
 
Jalandhar, September 26, 2015: CT Institute of Hospitality Management (CTIHM), a leading Institute providing Hospitality education under CT Group of Institutions, celebrated World Tourism Week at both of its Shahpur and Maqsudan Campus.
The students of Airlines, Tourism and Hospitality started the week long celebrations with displaying various tourism models depicting monumental heritage of India, parks and gardens, Mizoram heritage village, adventure sports, seven wonders of the world etc.
An essay writing competition was also organized along with the sketch making event. The theme of the essay writing was tourism and its importance. The students also participated in speech and power point presentation. The highlight of the event was traditional dress round in which students displayed their traditional attire. Folk songs and folk dances were also presented on this day.
An environmental pledge relating to responsible tourism was also conducted. Bamboo dance and Sarlamkai a traditional dance of North east west was the centre of attraction of the event. The students from various states of India namely Assam, Mizoram, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Delhi, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh etc. Every states exhibit their cultural dance.  Maharani and Maharaja Pradesh of the year were conferred to Miss Rosy and Jonathan of Airlines Students respectively.
“Tourism is travel for recreation, leisure, religious, family or business purposes, usually for a limited duration. In a world struggling for peaceful coexistence, tourism can build bridges and contribute to peace. It makes me happy to see the competitive spirit among the participants and I hope to organize such events for the coming years also” said S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions).
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) said, “We will leave no stone unturned to make our India Incredible. Our youngsters should understand their responsibility by paying attention towards the upliftment of tourism standards in our country. Like our students, every citizen should take a pledge to promote tourism and to be a responsible citizen. ”
