Chandigarh, April 30, 2015: The court of Additional Sessions Judge, Patiala P.S Grewal has awarded 5 year sentence and fine of Rs.1,00,000 to Surinder Singh, Reader to SDM, Patran. Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that a case under corruption Act was registered against Surinder Singh, Reder to SDM, Patran after he was nabbed red handed by the sleuths of Vigilance Bureau red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 10,000. He was charged with the allegation of demanding bribe of Rs.10,000 from a person for helping in vacating stay of girdawari.
Today during the hearing of this case Hon’ble Court found this person guilty of the crime and sentenced him for 5 year besides fine of Rs.1,00,000.
