Ludhiana, November 16, 2015: Aam Aadmi Party Ludhiana paid tributes to Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha on his 100th Martyrdom day. Many party leaders and large number of volunteers from different parts of the city gathered at Feroze Gandhi Market and Garlanded the statue of Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha. S.Sucha Singh Chhotepur convener AAP Punjab, Mr Durgesh Pathak, Parbhari, organising committee AAP, Col CM Lakhanpal (Retd), zone coordinator, Ludhiana and Mr Kapil Bhardwaj observer Ludhiana were present and paid tribute to Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha. On this occasion Aam Aadmi Party demanded from the administration that the total road from Bhai Bala Chowk to village Sarabha should be named as ‘Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha Marg’.
After paying tribute to the Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha, party volunteers moved to new party office situated at 120-D, BRS Nagar Ludhiana. Four preachers from different religions started the inauguration ceremony chanting sermons and hymns. Formally Aam Aadmi Party’s new Ludhiana zone office was inaugurated by Sardar Sucha Singh Chotepur. An exhibition marking the different life events of Kartar Singh Sarabha was inaugurated by Mr. Durgesh Pathak. A large number of volunteers participated in the inauguration and watched the exhibition and got precious and important knowledge about the life of Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha.
Later on addressing a press conference S. Sucha Singh Chotepur said that Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha laid down his life for the country at just the age of 19 and He is a great inspiration for all of us. To serve our country we all should follow the path of such great martyrs. When asked by the media about the present situation of Punjab, he said that Punjab is facing countless problems like drugs, corruption, suicides by farmers, unemployed youth, poverty and poor condition of industry. He said that government has power but because of the lack of desire it has totally failed in bringing Punjab to the way of success and prosperity. In the end he appealed people to maintain peace.
