Ferozepur, March 22, 2013: The Ferozepur Sadar and City police have arrested Sarpanch associated with Congress party of village Bhure Khurd and his accomplice, for allegedly cheating and physical teasing with woman.
Giving this information, Lakhwinder Singh, EO Wing said, “In the written statement of complainant, Jeet Singh of Bhure Khurd to SSP, Ferozepur, has alleged that the government had sanctioned Rs.45,000 for construction of a house but Sarbjeet Singh former secretary panchayat resident of New Friends Colony virtually embezzled the amount by allegedly preparing the fake documents.
On the other hand, Ferozepur City ASI Samarjeet Singh said, as per statement of Hapreet Kaur wife of Sarbjeet Singh resident of Sandhe Hasham and his friend Surinder Singh alias Shinda have registered a case. The complainant has alleged for physically teasing her. Sarbjeet Singh was presented in the court who remanded for one day in police custody for investigation purposes.
However, Sarpanch Sarbajit Singh has denied the charges and false case has been filed.
