Ludhiana, May 1, 2018: By the implementation of Code of Wages Bill 2017 – wage revisions will be stopped, Wages will be paid on hourly basis instead of daily wage, by outsourcing of the work the government jobs will virtually come to an end and DA freeze effect the workers, employees and pensioners. FRDI bill will be used to consume public money for settlement of NPA of big houses. This was said by Com D P Maur – Vice President AITUC Punjab and General Secretary Joint Council of Trade Unions Ludhiana while addressing a rally at bus stand Ludhiana organized to observe Labour Day.

He said that the workers will continue to struggle not only for their rights and oppose the economic policies of sellout of the nation by the BJP government which have resulted in untold misery of the majority of the people of our country but also to defend the secular democratic values of the country which are being eroded through constant onslaught by this RSS guided government.

Dr Arun Mitra said that having failed to fulfil the promises made during 2014 elections for 2crore jobe very year and 15 lac rupees in every pocket the RSS-BJP are now trying to divide the society on communal and caste lines to garner votes. These nefarious designs will be thwarted by the workers unitedly.

The rally was addressed by Com Kewal Singh Banwait, , Com Gurnam Sidhu, Com Charan Sarabha, Com M.S.Bhatia- Bank Employees Union Leader, Com Manjeet Singh Mansooran, Com Ram Partap from Hosiery workers union, Com Vijay Kumar, Com Manjit Singh Gill , Com Harbans Singh, Com. Randhir Singh of Roadways, Com Parveen Kumar ,Com Gurmail Singh Madley,Com Ramadhar Singh, Com Lal Chand Hundreds of workers gathered here demanded implementation of labour laws.
